“Using only Australian and European Labour”
Labour stamps required in Victoria through the Factories and Shops Act of 1896. Their main purpose was to distinguish Chinese labour from European labour, or that of Australians of European origin.
The practice ended in 1963 following revisions to the Labour and Industry Act 1958 through the Labour and Industry Amendment Act of 1963
